I have a 13 year old with my ex.
I never planned on having children - this had nothing to do with whether or not I like them (I do) but more to do with concern about my parenting ability and passing on what may be a genetic predisposition to mental illness. My ex talked me into it, I have no regrets, but I won't be having any more, thanks to modern medicine.

I picked B. Disability and the logistics that go with it aside, I simply don't have the patience to be a parent. It's not a desirable state of being, IMO, especially in the early poopy/pukey/generally sticky and stinky and crying stages. I'm perfectly content being an uncle since I can hand the children back to their parents once they get on my nerves.

Don't get me wrong, I love my kids. Now that I'm a grandfather I've discovered my kids' only useful function in life was to give me grandchildren and I'm not afraid to say I enjoy their existence immeasurably more than raising their parents.

I must admit that I'm hoping to be a grandparent. But not for another seven to ten years.

Actually my vote should have been C. I just didnt read it well enough.
However the reason was much different.
When i was a teen age at 16 i was looking for mates at the time when other boys where also looking. Many of them were successfull but me... The girls it made very clear to me that i was not wanted in that fashion....very rudely clear.
So realizing that i was not wanted as a mate then i surmised that i would never have children or any sort of relationship that involved family. So i resigned to my fate and put my energy else where.
That was an interesting time. I was very different from others due to this frame of mind but most importantly i was who i was supposed to be...
Of course little did I know that i was not physicaly mature at 16. Many of the other boys were. Also i started being me and no one else (plus a lot of physical activity.. the "elsewhere i put my energy" helped), THEN the girls came by and innocently said "Hi Logan."
Well as soon as i had the chance I jumped on it, literaly. I didn't use protection because i was afraid that she might lose the "mood" and then i wouldn't get a chance.... ever again.
from that came my first child. there's more to the story but thats all for now.

Man, I loved the poopy/pukey stage. Life was soooo easy then. Little tiny bundles of cuteness with problems that have clear solutions. Sure, sleep didn't happen, but I was 20; not sleeping was my jam.
All these years later, my parental instincts are fully developed. It's hard to explain, but I can feel myself being taxed just by her being awake. When she's in the same room, I'm no longer me, I'm just an extention of her, which can be stressful. When she's out of my sight I stress even more. The only middle ground is tucking her into bed. Suddenly, I can feel the taxing weight lift. Couple that with how cozy and precious she looks being all snuggled in and safe, and I get a huge surge of energy. Which I use to...watch some tv. Lol
Yeah, the baby days were awesome.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

It sure as hell isn't stopping me ! Come hell or high water I will have a mini me! Besides there's always IVF if your swimmers can't quite manage I'm not sure sure if your bladder issues mean reproductive issues too. I don't have a weenie! And the poop and pee doesn't really matter when they're your gremlins.

A. I definitely would love to have children.. My girlfriend and I have spoken about it several times...
She's on birth control but it seemed that she was getting sick (as in morninc sickness) and we read cases about women getting pregnant while on this type of BC so we went out and bought tests.... It was negative and to say the least, I was bummed she wasnt pregnant.

You are correct, it is uncertain. Everyone else I have met who has been adopted has been very grateful that their parents (or just mother) chose to let them live and a chance at a good life.
I'm sure there are people out there who wish they had gotten killed, but that's not the default type of thinking when referring to someone's existence.
