I'm surprised no one mentioned it yet.
Because it's not a horror film.

Nor was it meant to be.

I will say that Syfy Channel's 2009 version of Children of the Corn and ABC's 1997 version of The Shining (mini-series) are the best King adaptations I've seen.... very close to the original stories.

Dolores Claiborne was okay, and I feel that The Mist was pretty good, but I haven't actually read those two.

Shawshank?  Stand By Me?
How'd I forget those? I never read those two. I guess that could be why I enjoyed the films. What anthology is The Body in?

I think we're all missing the obvious.

10 Commandments
The Passion of the Christ
The Exorcist
The Greatest Story Ever Told
Ben Hur
Barabbas
Davey and Goliath
Jot the Dot
Veggie Tales
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Same as Shawshank, "Different Seasons."
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

RE: Stupidest horror movies
Maybe I'm alone here, but I've always thought that all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies were campy and hilarious as fuck. Same for anything with Jason in it. Same for anything with Leprechaun in it (In Da Hood is my fave  Bong ). Same with I Know What You Did Last Summer and the sequel. Same with IT. Dead Silence had some jumps in it, but I thought it was pretty funny, too.

Come to think of it, don't listen to me. Horror movies fall into two categories with me: so-shitty-they're-funny and too-shitty-to-watch. The only ones that used to bother me were demon possession movies and occasionally "angry ghost" movies like The Ring, but now that I don't believe in evil spirits any more I'm pretty well immune to all of it. The only thing that still gets me sometimes is jump scares, but I don't respect that technique because it's artless; as far as I'm concerned you can throw literally anything on screen and play a loud noise with it, and as long as your timing is even remotely passable you'll elicit an uncomfortable, reflexive "twist" in the stomach even if I'm ready for it. I dislike the sensation and I think it's a cheap way to add scare points to a movie.

Killer Clowns From Outer Space was so campy and bad I had to turn it off, but it might serve your purposes if you're looking for something really terrible.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

I actually have that around here somewhere. I only got around to reading Apt Pupil....also, not a good film adaptation.

Don't forget God's Not Dead.  It features the Supernatural.  The lack of logic can be a little scary at times, but nothing most people can't handle.

For a serious suggestion however, I'd say Waxwork.  It's on Amazon Prime!  The series is more fun than scary, though it can be pretty gory.
