SURVIVOR
RE: SURVIVOR
"absolutely choose" means that the other two players do not vote (since by rule the could only vote for each other - they can't vote for the third who has immunity, and they can't vote for themselves), so whoever they vote for goes home.

When it's 4 going to 3, the person with immunity has a tremendous amount of power and is usually the swing vote, but they don't have quite as much power, because it's possible for the vote to go 2-1-1 and therefore the person the immune player voted for goes to the end.

I think it's almost certainly going to go to 2. They have traditionally voted two off on the finale, at least as far back as I can remember. It's my possibly faulty recollection that other seasons that started with 18 went down to 2.

Vote 2 off in the finale... then, like you said, 2 immunity challenges?
First immunity challenge.... 4 votes to get one out...
Second challenge, 3 votes to get another out?

Or two challenges in a row and 4 votes to kick off two people?

The former.

I'm rooting for Tai to win although it's hard to say if he will win. It depends on how the final immunity challenges go.
It seems like I heard after last week's episode that the finale is this Wednesday? I thought that was unusual since the finale is usually on a Sunday.
Scot Pollard (the former NBA player) played center on my city's NBA team in the early 00's. I was surprised to see him on this season's show. I'm wondering if he's hard up for money or if he really wanted the challenge lol.

Yeah, I'm not sure his sitch. He's actually my favorite, but I really only follow soccer. However, I used tolive in Sacramento, and have family in Cleveland, and those were two of his NBA cities.

So, now that Scot is out, I am Team Tai.

Oh, I didn't know Scot played in Cleveland too. My dad grew up in Cleveland (I've been there many times) and I live in Sacto too. Small world, huh?  Smile

I always thought it was funny to see Scot sitting in tribal council next to the other players - he looked like a giant sitting next to everyone. He's like 2-3 times the height of Tai lol.

What?

Basketball?

This is the Survivor thread, peeps!  Keep it on topic!

Predictions:

I'm really thinking that Aubrey is in a tight spot and unless she wins final 4 immunity I think she might be voted out if Michelle can turn Tai.  If that's the case, and it's a final two (which I think it's guaranteed to be because of all the medivacs) then I think there's strong likihood of a Michelle/Tai finale, in which case I HOPE that Tai wins because Michelle has been such a nothing player this season - but I fear that Tai will fall apart at the final tribal like he has at so many previous tribals and Michelle will win.  I swear, Michelle is getting the "Oh, shit! We can't have an invisible player in the finals!  We need to show her to the audience more!" type edit.  That best explains, to me, why we've suddenly seen more of her for the past few episodes despite the fact that she hasn't been a mover-and-shaker in the game.

If Aubrey somehow survives the final 4 vote, she's got to win the final 3 immunity too, or whomever she's there with will target her and get her out in 3rd instead of 4th.

Regardless, I think if Aubrey gets to the end, she wins against anyone.
If Cydney gets to the end, she wins against Michelle or Tai.
If it's Michelle and Tai at the end.... that's harder to call.

I guess we should look at the judges, more than the players, no?
In the judges, who has problems with the current players?
Who would vote for Tai? Aubrey? Cydney? Michelle?
Who wouldn't vote for Tai? Aubrey? Cydney? Michelle?

Tell me about it!  My poor GS Warriors lost game one against the Okky Thunder.  Imagine my stress going into tonight's final Survivor episode while switching madly back and forth to watch my Dubs win (or go home) game two.  Too much stress!
