Well it means there's no book telling you it's wrong to be accepting of gays and people of different beliefs just because someone wrote that their god doesn't like it.

Ah, I see.

My "book" specifically tells me to accept them, so, hopefully I'm not being implemented here. Tongue

What about yours, King?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I'm free to sleep in on Sunday.  I'm free to not waste money supporting a bunch of parasitical bastards who pretend to know what happens after you die.  I'm free not to have to associate with morons who don't care about points one and two.

That will suffice.

You should try to be more accepting of different people, Min. Wink

Yep, accept all people.

Chad no one says there are not bigots.  We readily admit the Westboro Baptists are loonies and deplorable.  There are bigot atheists as well.  A great deal of modern Christianity is very accepting of anyone regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender, etc.  The church I go to right now has a gay worship pastor.  Awesome dude and incredible musician.

I'm friends on this very forum with those that identify as homosexual or bisexual.  None of that defines them.  They are a person just like me, that's what defines them.
We are not made happy by what we acquire but by what we appreciate.

Catholic bibles must be different than protestant bibles, then.

Please stow the double standard card.

Lol.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Catholics have the Catechism, but King is Protestant and he and I still have the same answer.

Quote:2358 - The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
