We live in an existence without a God. Adding a God to our existence would change the nature of our existence in a way that is unknowable.
So the question is "How would you behave in a reality that is unfathomable?" I can barely guess how I'd behave in plenty of fathomable situations in an existence I understand.
We try to have it both ways a lot with the Theists.
1) We point out that they are claiming to have all this factual information about the nature of God, despite it being outside of space/time/comprehension/etc...basically, unknowable to the human mind.
2) We then confine that God to the rules of our Godless existence, and point out contradictions.
If we claim to know our reaction to the existence of God, we are disagreeing with 1, which I think is adopting one of the biggest flaws in the theists thinking.

Rob, after the list is collected, will it be published?
I personally don't mind, but there are some closet types. Maybe you should treat the list like the one ring.

No, I won't be doing anything with it except maybe referencing this thread in other threads to show I'm not the only one with this mindset.
I'll keep it secret and safe, as much as you can with a public forum

I don't know about never ever. I've learned not to make strong statements about the future. I'd be up for the can't be bothered atm list

Even if there were a god, and even if that god were so incredibly beautiful and awesome that I'd worship of my own free will, I still wouldn't have a single fucking thing to do with religion, which is an organization seeking to control the thoughts of fellow humans by manipulating the sex drive and penchant for guilt most humans have.

A friend of mine has a religion that I'd consider joining if there were any basis for it other than personal revelation. But there's no good reason to believe that her goddess is any more real than any other god. So I wouldn't say I'd never join a religion. I'd never worship the abrahamic god however. I'd be more likely to worship Satan.

That's a good point. If you actually had real communication with "God", why would you need an organised religion to tell you what to do? You'd just have a real relationship with God, and that would be it, whether it be one of friendship or worship.
I guess it's one of those, "You're not having fun if no one is watching" things.
