RE: Time
I wasn't depressed when I started reading this thread. My oldest turned 24 last month.
I've recently grown rudimentary legs and am now making the move from water to land.

"I woke up to the terrible fact, of me turning 24 years old. Just yesterday, I was 16."

"We are insignificant in comparison to God. He can erase us and make another specie in no time, just like what happened to dinosaurs."

I'd be wary of acknowledging the existence of dinosaurs if I was a theist.
But I suppose if you can finesse the passing of 8 years in one day, you'll have no problem reconciling evolution with the Abrahamic view of creation. Must be great not having to be self-consistent.

Let me guess, it's all "God".

BTW, how do you know about UV rays? Why do you think they are harmful? Why do you think that the atmosphere protects us from them? Cos I'm pretty sure it doesn't say anything in any religious text about spectral analysis, mitosis, or atomic absorption. Do you just believe in all that? Why not believe that invisible dolphins protect us from bad cosmic ideas by leaping from the oceans and catching them before they hit our heads, instead?

All God again?

Right.
I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty.

No not just God...

Goddidit. One word, eight letters. It answers every question equally meaninglessly. Tongue

OMG! I never thought of it that way. By George I think you are on to something.

Time destroys us. That is proof that there is a god. Some dick head has to be responsible for all the fucked up shit we have to endure.

Thanks for the perspective.
