I don't care what jackasses are on the left. There are plenty of douches in every camp.
I am a liberal because I believe the government has a responsibility to protect the marginalized and prevent a tyrrany of the majority. I believe in evening the playing field and not allowing the rich to hold government hostage or having more influence just because they have more money. I believe in social programs and I believe the government should reduce or eliminate the profit motive in healthcare. I believe in the separation between church and state and I believe in equal rights for everyone.
None of those opinions are dependent on what the loudest jackasses in my 'tribe' do on Twitter or during a protest.

CIJS a certain percentage of any group will be jackasses. Judging an entire group based on the I dependent actions of a tiny fraction of it's members is absurd, and not just when it's the other guy doing it.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, I just think it is something liberal-minded people do have to call out, so as not to allow darker forces on the right-wing to jump on it and make themselves look more sophisticated and attractive.

I just don't. Mostly because I don't think it will matter one bit. There is a social movement happening, and as with every social movement in history, the pendulum swings too far. It will naturally settle with some people planting themselves on the fringe and staying there, but the majority will find their way to normalcy.
The right is having their social movement too. Nationalism is on the rise, and supremacists are having their day in the sun again. They are reacting to the PC police by outbursts of overt racism (allegedly seen here.) But none of these things define conservatives, either.
The point is that the stories that you are going to see are always the outliers. The vast majority of millennials are normal people just like you and me. It's just that social media so easily foists these exceptional cases in front of us, triggering our outrage. It's all bullshit.

Well said we focus to much on extremes especially and unfairly on youth (a trend throughout history)
And think your right extremists will attract extremists. While most people will go centrist to some degree. Extremes are rarely sustainable as the alt right already showing.
