Ok, I can see what's happening here. I didn't expect this from you, to be honest.

I call it as I see it.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

I am staying on topic. I didn't troll or flame anyone excessively. I did nothing wrong so far. I presented my arguments as to why no one should feel ashamed to consume a public figure's intellectual output, no matter the figure or the output. One could argue against such a figure's views, but one shouldn't argue against one's preference for such figures. That's indefensible, I think.

If anyone thinks I broke any rules or anything like that, they're welcome to alert staff to it, but I do not appreciate being silenced in this manner.

Of course not. He'll pretend I'm the asshole instead because he's got some outside support right out the gate. He'll do this because he lacks any rational arguments on the matter.

Spot on.

For your entertainment:  a short, informative bit on the contents of common ID arguments from Matt -

Matt Dillahunty definitely knows his stuff and is great at presenting it. I appreciate how he doesn't put up with bullshit, either. Don't worry about giving him hero status. He doesn't want or need it. It's better to appreciate his arguments instead of the man himself.
But isn't it the person that makes the arguements and wields them skillfully?

I admire Matt, but I don't put him on a pedastal....I put him and many others I look up to on a stairway.....to heaven! Hehe

I don't worship him, but I do greatly admire him in the way I admire anyone who can invoke thoughts and ideas that I have never considered before. [emoji846] I feel the same way about a lot of members here, in fact. [emoji8]

I don't worship Sam either, nor would he care if anyone did. I certainly think he's smarter than me and I respect him a lot. Well, maybe smarter is not the best word. Let's say better educated.

Just being honest.

Don't be. Dillahunty certainly is one of the better and down to earth ones. If you like him, take a look at Aaron Ra. He's got a nice sense of humor in his presentations.

Aron is a top-bloke by all accounts and his videos are really great. Plus he has the Phylogeny database to take care of too.

You know why I like him? It's because he doesn't wave atheism like a flag. He talks about all kinds of stuff. Science as well as history and his personal life story, which is an interesting one. And most of all I like him for his humor.
