I see an apple and say, "gee, I hope it's not a squishy apple." Because I just hate squishy apples.

It EXACTLY takes a scientist to work that one out, actually.

No I haven't.

I could if I wanted to but I didn't.

Not when I'm not claiming it is.

I set my own premises. I make my own claims.

Why?

Quote: Demonstrate the truth of your assertion.

It's obvious. It's not a fact. It is, however, commonsensical.

Me too.  "Squishy apple" is a much less pleasant experience than "crunchy apple."

Sure you have. That's what the verb "to be" does.

Ahhhh. . . well, if it's commonsensical, then who am I to disagree? I thought you were just saying all that stuff about mind and brain chemistry because you knew it to be true. But if it's commonsensical, then I guess that's that.

Yep, and ideas are made of stuff....was there some ambiguity?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Okay, so ideas are made of ideas.  We are agreed, then.

"To be" is two words. "be" is the verb and it neither has an explicit meaning of nor does it entail "I am stating this as a fact" or "I know this absolutely".

Don't be disingenuous you're entitled to disagree.

I am not responsible for your presumptuousness.

Yes if it is then that is that. Huh

In the same way that bicycles are made of bicycle.
I am John Cena's hip-hop album.

Ideas are obviously part of the imagination and the imagination is obviously part of the brain and the brain is obviously full of brain chemicals.

"Oh but let's add in spooky dualistic immaterial stuff for no reason whatsoever".

"Fuck off you moron I'm tired of your shit."

"Wow, that's not how you debate."

"Tired. Played the "I'm offended" card? Tired."
