Salutations Sodomites!

RE: Salutations Sodomites!
Hey, welcome. As an ex Army guy, I'll try to keep comments about your unfortunate choice of service branches to a minimum.

Maybe I will be around more often than I first thought, but still not too much - my new job already has me glued to a keyboard. I wish I got to fly all day! Sadly, not so.

I wonder how many pilots are on this board? I've often pondered the dichotomy of flying for a living (especially in the military) and religion (or lack thereof). Wow, there's a whole tunnel system of rabbit holes built into that sentence. Meh.
bold mine

Something tells me that you and I have a different definition of flying.

I love the 72! What a sexy, loud, pure turbo jet beast! It's a shame they don't make them anymore. Have you seen the footage from the one that crashed Tuesday? It happened in Columbia I think. Awful. I'd love to know the full story.

Could be worse.

On the contrary, I'd love to take that Fokker for a ride! Ha, see what I did there?

It's quite thrilling, intensely.  The sensation of height is greatly magnified over an aircraft with a fuselage.

Congrats that's awesome! These days, that a rarer treat than getting to fly in a fighter, at least by my estimation. In college I had the opportunity to get spin lessons in one for an hour for $250. Suffice to say I didn't let that one slip by :-)

I, as many others here have a lot of respect for Deb's tenacity being here on her own accord, usually alone and against the mob most times.

I wish you guys the very best for the future ...
Also, please don't ever worry about any atheist .... (psssttt, it's the other one's you need to worry about!)

Thanks so much for the kind words. She can be a bit tenacious at times.

Ahh, yes, the Aerosucre accident? I had to google specifics, but there are some interesting links here:

I obviously hate that anybody would lose their life in an air accident, but I kind of grieve the loss of a plane that was so popular during my childhood, too. I need to stahp!

If God had intended us to fly, he would have provided more carry-on space.

Yes, I do.  You show promise. And you have reminded me of........

Quote:A World War II Spitfire pilot is speaking in a church and reminiscing about his war experiences.
"In 1942," he says, "the situation was really tough. The Germans had a very strong air force. I remember," he continues, "one day I was protecting the bombers and suddenly, out of the clouds, these fokkers appeared."
There are a few gasps from the parishioners, and several of the children began to giggle.
"I looked up, and realized that two of the fokkers were directly above me. I aimed at the first one and shot him down. By then, though, the other fokker was right on my tail."
At this point, several of the elderly ladies of the church were blushing with embarrassment, the girls were all giggling and the boys laughing loudly.
The pastor finally stands up and says, "I think I should point out that 'Fokker' was the name of a German-Dutch aircraft company, who made many of the planes used by the Germans during the war."
"Yes, that's true," says the old pilot, "but these fokkers were flying Messerschmitts."

BTW, how about a little less in the way of salutations, and maybe a little more sodomy for your vorlon ?

How about Catholic_Gent? This would go so much better next to CL.

Give up, Poca. She is taken.
