Yup. I have a few of those. But I think it'll take a bit more rubber insulation than that, like thick rubber gloves in addition to wearing rubber boots. Just to be sure. Ladders can be pretty heavy. Once atop the wall how will they get back down to the other side? Will they jump down 18 feet? It's a bigger drop than some would think. It would also take a bit of strength and coordination to pull the ladder up from one side of the wall and to slide it down set against the other side of the wall, even for two people working together.

I'd use rope, myself. Lightweight, strong, flexible ... I'd tie it around the steel bars holding the razor wire.

The issue is more complex than WALL. But his supporters don't care.

They voted him in for his simplicity. Why do you expect them to wisen up? Only when there's a hole in their own pockets they may come to their senses. But I doubt even that because then some scapegoat will be presented and made responsible for every available fuckup.

As for me, I said I didn't know. At the same time, workable alternative solutions haven't materialized. Reagan did try amnesty. That didn't seem to work.

You don;t know about any of that...not even an opinion, and yet you support it?  Gee, that doesn't sound like a recipe for misery at all.  You don;t have to know what you should do to solve whatever problem you imagine there to be...to know what should most definitely -not- be done in regards to the same problem, again, whatever the hell that is.

This isn't a liberal vs conservative, Trump vs Anti Trump, anti immigration vs pro immigration thing. Just answer objectively with no biases for any particular "side" you feel you need to be on:

Do you really think spending all this money building this wall is a good, effective idea, all things considered?

IMO the damage is already done, before the first footing has even been poured. A few billion here and there is a short term problem, for the US. The irrepairable damage to our national image is a long-term consequence that has already materialized. Like we needed to shit on it any more than we'd already done. The president of the united states just issued an execuitve order for fucking concentration camps to be built...and staffed, by an american gestapo. It's almost as if there's no joke about Trump he won't endeavor to make true to the very letter.

The real fun is going to start if he somehow manages to kick all the illegals out. Because then there's the question who's doing all the menial jobs for a pittance and without any social security. Then there's also the question where the estimated 11 billions in annual taxes are supposed to come from.

Well, if he manages to round one group up and confiscate their money, I see no reason why it couldn't be done again, with another group.  Maybe the aiders and abettors, to start with. That's in the order as well, ofc. Gonna be awhile before that spigot runs dry, I'm sure.
