Alright guys debating how people will get over the wall is stupid because most illegal immigrants coming from Mexico are using a 40,000 foot ladder. It's called a plane.

The media may have, I couldn't tell. The important thing is that the legislature hasn't and it has tried to deal with them in far more humanitarian ways, realising that illegal immigrants are human too. This is just spin.

As we all know, a better solution would be to better fund border police and maybe help Mexico improve it's economic situation, making it better for people who live there.

I don't know if a wall would work or not. Heck I don't even know what kind of wall we're talking about. What I do know is that illegal immigration makes many bad things worse like drug smuggling, human trafficking, the spread of disease, and low grade-level competency in schools. It's corrosive to the rule of law in both the US and Mexico and it is fundamentally unfair to law-abiding immigrants. For years and years and years politicians have either promised to something and didn't or exploited the situation for political gain. Trump isn't just doing something different; he's actually trying to do something. Whether it works or not remains to be seen.

He's trying to do something roundly terrible....firstly by building a dumbasss wall that no-one....no-one will pay for.  Secondly, by threatening to -not- pay for the wall by extorting a foreign government for a paltry sum of money that will not cover construction in the slightest, with the threat of confiscating money from the poor - legal immigrants, illegal..doesn't matter.  All with a legally questionable reading of the patriot act, whose language does not apply to the remittances in the first place even if it weren't questionable.....which can be defeated by simply opening an account at bank of america, or any other bank which operates in both countries freely.  Deposit here, withdraw there.  Then, the icing on this shit cake is, ofc, that any success in curbing immigration of any kind would only mean that there we no remitttances to confiscate with which to fund the wall they're totally building...and totally not squandering on "planning". These walls never materialize, but the money sure manages to go somewhere before people forget about them.

It's already a national embarrassment, regardless of whether or not -anything- comes of it.  All of this....all of this...... because "Boo!  Brown People!".

Why is it that you've bought a factually untrue and overtly racist immigration ideology hook line and sinker?  

Why is it okay to confiscate money from -legal- immigrants (I know you don;t give a fuck about illegals, so I won't bother asking)?

Do you have any reservations about the call..in that executive order, to construct concentration camps?  

Do you have any reservations about the call, in that executive order, to threaten any city or entity aiding or abetting illegal immigrants?  

Do you have any reservations about the call, in that executive order, to deport anyone accused of a crime....no conviction required, or anyone an immigration officer feels is a "threat" without the necessity of any charges against them existing?

Do you have any reservations about the call, in that executive order, to recruit a force of 10,000 immigration officers to enforce any of the above?

Yup. I have a few of those. But I think it'll take a bit more rubber insulation than that, like thick rubber gloves in addition to wearing rubber boots. Just to be sure. Ladders can be pretty heavy. Once atop the wall how will they get back down to the other side? Will they jump down 18 feet? It's a bigger drop than some would think. It would also take a bit of strength and coordination to pull the ladder up from one side of the wall and to slide it down set against the other side of the wall, even for two people working together.
