Ah, thanks Losty. It's all down to Barnaby, without him I'm just a sarcastic, bearded git. At least now I'm a sarcastic, bearded git with a cute dog.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)

This is my first attempt at recording myself playing the organ. I hit quite a few bum notes but I kept it as my doggy started barking soon after I started! She has a big gob.

It's The Entertainer by the legendary Scott Joplin. It's my own simplified version as I don't have the skill or the span to play the full one. Enjoy!

Lovely playing and you have such a nice voice and face. Smile

Thanks so much Jenny! No one's said that to me before Blush

And thanks Whateverist, you're very kind Smile

I'll definitely record some more soon. I'll do the maple leaf rag next. I cheat a tiny bit with it, it's originally in E flat but that's too hard so I taught myself in C. Then I use the organ to transpose 3 semitones up, to make it sound authentic. Would still sound better on a piano, but I don't have one. I play them whenever I find one and can get away with it Big Grin People have to put up with it in C on piano. Also, the organ has less octaves so those who know the piece may spot one note which I have to jimmy up.

I can just hear my wife reading that last paragraph and asking who gives a fuck about all that crap! Sorry babes Big Grin I get to say loads of stuff here which would normally get me cut short and put in a cupboard or something.

Thanks for posting pictures of your dogs everyone, they are all amazingly cute! I love dogs so much. I love all animals, but dogs have a special place in my heart. I'll have to get a picture up of my "hairy daughter" soon Smile

OK so I thought it would help everyone understand me better if you knew what my childhood was like. This was a typical day:

Well it was something like that. And here is me playing the Maple Leaf Rag, and as a bonus I provide a proof of God at the end. New evidence has emerged that may throw the whole debate on its head. Enjoy Smile

Where's your grass? Is that what England looks like?!? Panic

Cute bunnies!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
