Why, I honestly have no clue at all about that to which you refer.

For instance, when someone posts their first thread, I always make it a point to kudos them... even if their post argues the watchmaker argument. Sometimes I kudos people because I agree with them, but there are a plethora of other reasons I might do it. Keeping my own varied motivations in mind, I try not to read too much into people's kudos.

Yeah A kudos doesn't necessarily mean I agree with everything the post said. In that thread in particular, I'm kudosing everyone's responses as a way to show acknowledgement, that I have read and appreciated their response and participation in the debate.

With that being said, what Neo said isn't incorrect, technically. Death itself has no greater meaning if nothing comes afterwards. That doesnt mean you cant die for an honorable cause, like soldiers in battle.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Nope death is closure of life it creates finality . Every story has an end . Why should not life ?

But, technically, he didn't just speak of no meaningful death. He spoke of no meaningful death entailing no meaningful life. Which makes no sense to me. The journey is the meaningful part. The idea that if there's no meaning at the end of it all then there is no meaningful life (life being the part when you're actually alive to experience meaning) makes zero sense.

Some people think that a life with no god-meaning is the same thing as a life with no meaning.  Unless theres punch and pie at the end, you may as well just stay in bed and wait to die.

Much like you have a healthy fear of the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, the Koran, the Sutras of Buddha, etc., and respond positively to them?

There is only one God and He is not part of those religions. None of the gods of those religions has ever tried to show me anything at all. That being said they are and always will be false.

But praying is actually doing something for others. I'm sure it makes you feel better about your lack of action, though.

Correct, it is doing something for others and it can and is for ones self also. So what's your point, you seem to be agreeing with me. What lack of action, praying for others is an action, every day all the time. The Church does more for the poor than any other entity in the world.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Genesis 2  (KJV)
19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

That's not what the verse says and if you really believe it does then you are not very intelligent. It says God did this just as He did with Adam, it doesn't refer to a specific time for either, the whole point to the verse is to show man's intelligence over that of the animals.

vorlon13 Wrote:Critters and fowl formed BEFORE Adam and Eve:

Genesis 1  KJV
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

More Bible confusion and apologetic confusion from Bible believers . . .

Panic  Panic  Panic

This is the correct order as given to us by God, the other verses give some extra detail but like I said it was to show man's intelligence over the animals and the dominion God would give man over the animals. It's beyond me how people can claim to be so smart yet miss something as simple as this, truly astounding it is.

You should understand why I don;t believe in your silly religion, then.  Tell god to show me something next time you two talk.

Otherwise, I can only conclude that you'll always be false.
