It's enforceable. We've enforced it before, and we'll enforce it again.
The president promised that he would comply with it, but, like every other promise he made on the campaign trail, that failed to materialize. You're not looking at an unenforceable law, you're looking at a lawless president. No law is enforceable if the metric is whether or not a lawless despot will follow it.

If it's actually enforceable, we could enforce it against THIS president. If laws can't be applied to lawless people, WTF are they for, only for honest people?

"Enforceable" is misleading. Again, it does not matter what system humans set up, the word "enforcement" always depends on those who make the laws and the citizens under those laws, to have a collective majority desire to do so.
I certainly will defend western open concepts of society, and pluralism, but none of that is a given, ever.
Only participation and vigilance prevents monopolies of power.

As to the question...sad as it sounds, yeah. Lawless people aren't following laws by definition - we compel them by force, not by invoking a law they don't give a shit about to begin with.
I don't see the dems burying an entire admin under a prison when they win. The law demands it, but the american psyche won't allow it. You're already concern trolling yourselves over it. Few executions might be in order, too. Probably doesn't sound great rolling around in your head.
One of the grandest ironies of contemporary republican projection..is that they've created a set of circumstance in which the violent revolt and political blowback they're always threatening is the only credible route for your lot to do anything more than scream as the titanic goes down.
American jurisprudence and continuity depends on a set of actions that I strongly doubt the current democratic party has the stomach for. You're ideologically opposed to the actions required to stop american fascism, full stop.

Why is it that your commentary originally goes the straight and narrow, then cuts the reader off with a blinker, then takes a sharp turn down an unmapped road that leaves the reader utterly confused?

Or maybe we live in the worst possible timeline. In every other sane timeline I'm a raving loon - and this timeline is what it takes for me to get something right by accident.

I'm talking about compelling by force the consequences for violating a law, and spelling them out. There should be some crimes having a majority in the Senate on your side can't make you safe from; but I agree that we have no legal recourse in the current system until after the election, and even then justice won't be served due to political realities.

That last post was well said though, perhaps a little veiled. I would say we are nearing civil war at this point. We should probably just divide the country into the coasts where most of the people are and Canada where liberal ideas abound; and the rest of the country would be Jesusland?
