According to the Oxford dictionary, feminism is

The critique in the video is only applicable to intersectional feminism, but you don't need to support anything else aside from gender equality to be considered a feminist. My girlfriend is a feminist and she is a bit racist, specially against black and Chinese people - That doesn't stop her from being a feminist and supporting women's rights. It is possible to be a feminist and have almost any political orientation or ideology, and to be pro or against almost any social, political, cultural and economic issue. I'm not saying I agree with racist feminism, but etymologically it's not impossible to be both.

all I'm saying is that a lot of feminist drive a wedge between themselves and their allies and would be members. It's not helping and the only ones dividing the movement is them. Btw why are you dating someone you know is racist?!

Because unlike the US my society is composed primarily and overwhelmingly by native (you can call them "white") people and minorities are seen as "immigrants" and never truly considered national citizens, regardless of how hard you try - So it's extremely hard to find someone who isn't a bit racist.

Oh well, we don't have police cases of cops shooting black people - Most of Europe has the same problem - But I can't really talk about statistics because in some countries it is illegal to collect census based on race. you'll find out that despite the vision that Europeans are so tolerant racial diversity and marginalization are, in some ways, worse than in America because the majority of the population is still native-looking and only recently have we accepted more immigrants, so unlike America that always had black people that descend from slaves, non-natives only started entering Europe and become visible recently (with exceptions) and this has lead to adverse reactions like the rise of far-right parties that support Hitler and hate jews.

Indeed - Back to the topic - I think it is desirable to be a feminist and pro-racial equality, but semantically one doesn't stop being a feminist just because one's a racist - It just means you support women's rights only for some women.

We don't have any racists in Australia.
