I'm interested. My only concern is the draft. How are you planning to run it?

I'm open to different scenarios, but we will schedule an online draft where we all can be there. That will be easiest. Or we could do it in thread. If we do this, we have to start earlier. I prefer a snake style draft: (1-8,8-1) My Preferred Rules: QB,RB1,RB2,WR1,WR2,TE,FLEX,K,DEF +8 Bench (Total 17 players, Flex=RB, WR, or TE) Points: Partial Points All TDs - 6 pts Passing 25 yds 1 pt. Bonus = 350 yds = 1pt, 450 yds = 2 pts, 500+ = 3pts Sacks = -1, INTs = -2, Fumbles lost = -2pts Rushing/Receiving - 10 yds - 1 pt Bonus = 125 yds = 1pt, 150 yds = 2pts, 175+ yds = 3 pts Fumbles Lost = -2 Defense/ST = 0-125 YA = +5, 126-200 YA=+3, 201-275 YA=+1, 276-350 YA=0, 351-425 YA=-1, 426-500 YA=-3, 501+=-5 0 PA=+5, 1-10 PA=+3, 11-20 PA=+1, 21-30 PA=0, 31-40 PA=-1, 41-50 PA=-3, 51+ = -5 +2 INT, +2 FR, +1 SF, +2 FG/Punt Block, +2 Safety, +6 Ret TD (not player) Kicker = +1 PAT, -1 PAT Missed, +2 0-20 FG, -3 0-20 FGM, +3 21-40 FG, -2 21-40 FGM, +4 41-55 FG, -1 41-55FGM, +5 56+ FG, -0 56+ FGM

Would it not be easier to create a league on the NFL Fantasy Football site and have them handle everything?

I use Yahoo, but you can set all the rules/points in a custom league. We can also do an offline draft, if that's the way we need to do it. It is really hard to get 8-12 people to carve out two hours for an online draft, but is much better to do it that way, because there is real time tabulation of who's been picked, what everyone's roster looks like; Yahoo's ADP (average drafted position) are pretty accurate and up to date. Standard scoring is slightly different than mine, usually only 4pts for a passing td, and the defense/kicker points vary slightly.

I will read the how to. I'm not sure I will do it this time around. I'm a pretty new fan of Football. I'm still trying to figure out the rules.

Here's the invite tinyurl. ETA: The scoring is on that page as well. I will add this to the OP.

It seems odd that someone wouldn't have automated the process, i.e. each player submits multiple ranked choices for who they want to get, and then they all get submitted and a computer goes through each person in turn and makes the pick for them, based on their choices.

There is an "autodraft" selection. You have to use Yahoo's player rankings (or ESPN, CBS, NFL.com, etc), and it will autodraft best player available based on team needs. (ie it will not draft 16 RBs and a kicker) But in the Fantasy World, autodrafting your team is horseshit. If a person doesn't show up or can't be at the draft, then Yahoo will autodraft for them. One of the biggest failures of autodraft is that it doesn't take bye weeks into account. So it could draft you a fantastic team, 75% of which is on Bye week 5. So you either have to use all your roster moves or just eat a loss on week 5.
