Those "American" companies go to China for cheap labor. You can recognize them easily because they are the ones with their fucking hands out for more tax breaks.
The only investment they make over here is to buy lobbyists to bribe congressmen. RE: How America will collapse (by 2025)

America is the world's largest debtor nation. There are few other nations on earth as jingoistic and who spend as much money on war.
The collapse got under way with the recent economic melt down. The economy does not seem to be recovering:The government continues to borrow without an increase in production,a recipe for disaster. The value of the dollar has begun its slide, helped along by printing more money with nothing extra to back it. America survives its debt by paying the interest. When (not if) it defaults, just once, China, its major creditor, will dump its US paper. The US will be fucked and that will trigger a world wide depression. One simple way to postpone the inevitable:Get over the arrogant assumption that the US is the leader and sheriff of the free world. (whatever that is) THEN withdraw all overseas troops and adopt a strict military policy of isolation.
Why is the idea of collapse automatically favored over the idea that there could be revolution, reform and any number of changes that do not result in the destruction of America? I'm sorry, but the opinions you have expressed here are a little fatalistic, lily.
I saw mention that our government would need money to run our military. Sure, we would and do. However, this country has actually seen war boost our economy before. If we're throwing all kinds of possibilities out there, why jump on the one that results in doom and gloom? No one can predict what will happen. We could overthrow the government and establish a monarchy by 2025 for all any of us know. I'm just not much of a prediction person.
a undervalued currency is good for a exporting country, the reason why china has been manipulating it's coin since like forever

I actually never said that I felt that would happen. I merely pointed out all of the possibilities that you overlooked in your doomsaying. You can't expect me to say who would start a revolution when the need for a full-scale revolution has not arisen. Now, if action were absolutely necessary, there is only the hope that a group would emerge. History shows us that things do not always turn out the way one expects. You can never predict the rise or fall of a country until it is upon you. As I mentioned before, the United States has boosted its economy during a war before. In fact, it was World War II and the Great Depression had just occurred. Crops were fucking ravaged, the economy tanked and Americans persevered. You just never know what will happen. |
