The word salad charge just makes atheists look so ignorant and anti-intellectual that it confirms one's faith in God.
With complaints like these, religion looks like the side of knowledge while atheism send to belong to the dark ages.
The dark ages were caused by religion. Our words pale in comparision to what religions lead people - and still do - to do.
You are not trying hard to make yourself a respectable member of this forum. We have theists that are respected and don't need to waver their beliefs.
Bashing your god or religion isn't bashing you. Its a simple concept. First of all, you're repeating a historical myth.
Second, I'm doing what you describe. Bashing a stupid belief system, bashing stupid arguments, and bashing stupid people.
The rest are fine.

He's a Poe.
I'm 99% sure. He's here to wind us up for his own personal amusement.
How closely his "arguments" reflect his actual intelligence is all that's left to wonder. I'm not wasting my time interacting further.

What were they caused by? It seems to me like he hit the nail on the head on that one. http://blogs.nature.com/soapboxscience/2...iddle-ages

Don't even go there with me, man. I have so little tolerance for that bullshit, you won't even get a rise out of me.

I think it can be hard to admit you're wrong in this environment.

Can you not see how you're proving my point right now?

It was just a random thing I said, not necessarily about that.

Seems like he's trying his hardest to say what will make us the angriest, he takes the actual arguments and categorizes them as substanceless, takes people in disagreement and says they are trolling.

Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?
Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.

The more questions you ask, the more you realize that disagreement is inevitable, and communication of this disagreement, irrelevant.
