Be honest now. If Trump is elected President, will this wall get built and will the Mexicans pay for it?

Do you honestly believe that this is the case?

I think there will be a wall. Mexico will pay one way or another.

And how many American owned assets are there in Mexico? Expect them to get taken away.

Do you expect there not to be consequences against America from the rest of the world?

I think you'll find that it was America that paid, one way or another.

Not that you have explained why the Mexican government would care about what America does to the people who leave Mexico. Certainly not enough to give America a huge chunk of money they can barely afford.

Well, when you start imposing regulation on a capitalist system it no longer is capitalist. One of the defining features of capitalism is the complete lack of regulation.

And frankly that is why its such a horrifically bad economic system, and leads to periodic catastrophic failure.

Personally I don't think any economic system can work going by its exact definition. Pure capitalism is just as ludicrous as pure communism or pure socialism. This is why I'm attracted to the idea of democratic socialism; to me it's the perfect combination of capitalism and socialism.

Problem is you can't combine capitalism with any other system. In capitalism the profit motive is the sole goal, the sole good, and the sole legitimate aim. Now I'm not about to go out and say that making a profit is evil, but there are other systems of profit making economics which are far more compatible with social protections and morals.

Hey KUSA,

Have you heard of Larry Nichols, the Clinton insider? I think you would find him interesting to listen to. Talks about the dixie mafia, and the skullduggery in US politics along with the dirty tricks:

Here's a recent interview:

But we (the U.S.) already do. We have the state control many different aspects of the economy. We bail out banks, we have Medicare and Medicaid, the Federal Reserve, etc. I think it's possible to preserve economic competition and capitalist profit-making while also letting the state provide things like healthcare.

Well considering various world leaders listen including Putin and people in the intel communities, and special forces along with regular people I would say you should start. Besides, it's not so much Alex Jones ranting, it's the guests who are interviewed which is the most interesting part. Allthough I agree he gets out of hand often. Lots of whistle blowers. And this interview is with Larry Nichols.

He actually interviewed Trump a while back, which was never once mentioned by Fox News! Which is kind of strange, but it was mentioned by other news agencies, but most establishment networks don't want to turn people on to Alex Jones because he breaks the conditioning that has taken years to install in people's minds. Once people wake up, they tend not to take the MSM seriously anymore.

This response shows that you have no answer. You haven't even considered whether it is actually morally right that one country can take by force assets from another. That makes America an aggressor and is a good enough reason to declare war on any country doing this. There would likely be sanctions against America. Anti-American sentiment around the world would increase dramatically (the bit outside of America that supplies you with lots of oil and money and keeps you lot in a lifestyle to which you have become accustomed). Expect massive economic consequences of such an action, even from your ordinary member of the public.

And all to build a practically useless wall?

And who's going to pay to maintain this wall? How is America going to stop multiple parts of it getting blown up by drug and people smugglers? Are you going to have surveillance over every metre of its 1933 mile length? The ongoing costs far outweigh the initial costs.

Yeah, our supply of crack will be cut off.

So the wall will extend across the Atlantic and across the Pacific and into space will it? Have you heard of these new fangled objects called boats and aeroplanes?

Also, you do realise that an alternative home-produced drug would be fill the market instead?

All that cheap labour flooding the country, if only companies had a choice in not hiring Mexicans ...

For a fraction of the cost America could enforce stricter controls on hiring legal workers and harsher penalties on companies that don't.
