No, that's not it.  Like Sanders, Kasich is being treated as an 'also-ran' in this campaign.  If he ever got onto the top rung the spotlight would be shined on him and his negatives would rise.  Cruz and Drumpf are hated by large segments of the republicunt party.  Kasich is merely unknown.

"Dems" is short for Democrat, meaning in this instance Clinton or Sanders. So far as I know, neither Sanders nor Clinton have contested any Republican primary against Kasich.

There's more than a splinter of truth to this, but I think also that his negatives would be far less than those of either Cruz or Trump.

Which, sadly, suggests that in the republicunt party having a big mouth is far more important than what comes out of it.  Kasich is your typical, corporate-loving, vagina-sniffing, establishment-republicunt which is exactly the type of clown who has throw the base of the party under a bus in their burning desire to see no billionaire go unrewarded.  There is a reason why he has failed miserably to attract attention.

He's obviously too "moderate" to attract much loyalty. That's fine with me, though -- I'm content to let the GOP bite off its nose to spite its face.
