Blaming the victim.

Conceded.

I loathe trial by media or in 'the court of public opinion". Here and in the US we still have the presumption of innocence.

Trial media led to perhaps the most infamous case of miscarriage of justice in Australian legal history, that of Lindy Chamberlain. ("a dingo took my baby")

The age of consent in Texas is 17.

Black letter law, Dote.

http://definitions.uslegal.com/a/age-of-consent/

Quote:Statutory rape is sex between an adult and a minor below the age of consent. Every state has a statutory rape law in some form. The age of consent varies from state to state, but is generally from 16 - 18 years of age. Many state statutes also specify a minimum age of the perpetrator or an age differential (as at least four years) between the perpetrator and the victim. Consent of the victim and belief that the victim is of the age of consent are usually considered immaterial.

I would have no idea what that is.

Your right Min, it is 17.

If this girl:

told you she was 17, does she look believable? Would you believe it?

I don't disagree consent of the girl or belief of age should be held as immaterial.
I maintain it is not "Rape" if consent and a presentation of legal age is present. Should not be treated nor dealt with on equal footing as forceable rape.
I'm only requesting a suspension of judgement by the "Hang-'em-High" crew here on these forums until a determination if force was used or not.
We can argue about just punishments at that time.

Or hypotheticly now iffn' you wish.

Nope, she looks about 13 and dressed up. Good enough for someone to say she looks 17 though Wink

She actually looks it in the other photos, I doubt you could say she looked 17 if you saw her in real life.

Yeah she looks 13-14 TOPS, and that's in stills. See her walking around and she'd look younger.

Maybe it's cause you're an old fart Dotard, but there is no way she'd pass for 17.

Funny, because the second one looks almost exactly like a girl I know to be 19.

First one looked like plastic to me, like an oversized doll Tongue

Some look older than they are, others look younger than they are, and some are almost half as cute as I am ^_^
