Are you a disciple?

Information
Are you a disciple?
Are you a disciple of Richard Dawkins? I honestly don't know much about the guy, so when I was informed that I am indeed a Dawkins worshiper I was surprised to say the least. I never knew being an atheist meant worshipping Dawkins. I guess I'll have to disavow my atheism.

I'm an atheist because I believe in no god. That's all. I'm not into bandwagons regarding the atheist elite.

I never even knew who Richard Dawkins was until South Park had an episode on him.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Not one of these answers apply to me. So, no vote coming up.

Of course I know Dawkins, I like his humorous style, but I don't care about his opinions on atheism, since, as I always stress, it doesn't interest me. Atheism doesn't interest me, since it doesn't play any role in my life. And I didn't listen or read up on a single letter coming from the pen of any atheist to arrive where I am.

I mostly know of Dawkins because he usually presents some interesting documentaries on scientific topics.

Disciple?  Huh, whut?  Worship?  I'm not sure I understand the concept.
Oh wait, I worship my cat.  She's spoiled rotten.  She THINKS she's a goddess.  I don't tell her otherwise.
Ok, that's not worship.  It's pampering.  She just thinks it's worship.
No, I can't think of any being, real or fictional, that's worthy of . . . how would you define it, slavish devotion at the total expense of yourself, plus giving the creature worshiped credit for attributes that they don't possess?

Not a fan.
He strikes me as a smarmy bastard.

I happen to agree with some of his views, but regard his face as somewhat punchable.

Nerp.

I think he's does an amazing job relating the concepts of evolution in a way that everyone can understand, and The God Delusion was pretty transformational for me in that I was 19 and it put words to my beliefs that I didn't have at that point.

But I think even Dawkins would object to the term "disciple."
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Not really, no. For someone to like somebody else, one has to know a lot more about the person than I actually do. I'm totally indifferent.
