Anyways, I'm enjoying browsing AF while waiting for the not-actually-a-chimney-sweep-guy-who-talks-like-a-chimney-sweep-guy to turn up and do a routine check on my smoke alarm to see if it's working.

I won't even offer him coffee, and I hope he doesn't ask. Because if he does I'll have to say "It's the cheap kind and I have no milk. That okay?" .... and most people don't drink black coffee here, especially cheap black coffee.

Also, if he asks if I have anything else I'd have to be like "Ummm.... tap water?"

Well, people telling you "what the rules should be" is a suggestion. You're saying on the one hand that people shouldn't tell you what they think the rules should be, and on the other hand saying that you're happy to take suggestions.

Telling us what you think they should be is fine I think we've been told lol.

I'm saying you can't expect us to just act on every suggestion. Well you can expect that, but you'll be disappointed.

I'm not saying you can't make suggestions.

This is so simple, I'm not understanding how there can be any confusion here.
