Boy, you're really gonna love this then ... a red-striped racer crossing the street at the end of my driveway a few days ago:

Nice one but the big bug is so totally unexpected.  Couldn't tell you what species it is, but I crossed this little fella on a walk recently.  The dogs up ahead of me walked right by it.  It probably needs to move or stink more to get their notice.




Speaking of the dogs, did you know I have literally thousands of photos of them.  No really.  Here are a few more.

I'm actually a huge fan of snakes. If someone has a pet one, I'm usually the first one asking for it to come out of the tank so I can hold it. I give wild ones respect and a wide berth, of course.
