Construction and wearing, when I eventually get to it. It's going to be a long project. Lots of detail work with that. -_-

But a lot of us enjoy seeing your creations.  My youngest cousin who is younger than 40 does a lot of dress up with fancy costumes.  Sometimes it extends into turning her apartment into an elaborate set for a party.  You're both working in an area that others have presented as fine art.  It would be so cool if that became your 9-to-5.

Yesterday a couple artist friends had an open studio event.  There stuff is so much fun.  One of them, Candace Kling, had made a lot of very elaborate hats at one time which had been sold.  But the hats were back in the studio briefly on their way back to the collector who loaned them.  She is also known for the ribbon art she makes.  This hat was my favorite.





But they're all pretty cool:



Her studio mate is Susan Avila who showed a project she is working on that is about women's health.  It will feature 100 of her hand made art-dresses all in red.

But she has also recently making her own shoes, mostly for display I think.  We had shared another friend, Gaza Bowen, who was best known for her art shoes.  She died too young but we all loved her shoes.  Susan did an homage to Gaza's collection of shoes she actually wore and made little weavings with the photos.

I used to have several of them and wore them out. They're pretty ace in the rain.

I had a Kylo Ren heat-changing mug a few months back, but the paint on it wore off after a dozen or so washes TT_TT

It was so cool though while I had it...

Mine didn't change, but similarly the silver came off my Kylo Ren mug. Much disappointment.
