The issue of stigmatization aside, for people saying they're unsure of whether he was a child molester, you should read the list of items the police found at his house:

I used to think he was innocent, then that list comes out, and now I'm convinced he probably did molest some children. Its hard to justify (IMO) that list of items with the fact he regularly had young children over to sleep, and the fact that there were a number of allegations during his life.

What the hell. That's horrible. How the hell did he not get convicted as guilty with that evidence????

My understanding is that it was entered as evidence in the trial, but I'm not sure whether the prosecutors used any or much of it. I would have thought it would have made news in the very public trial, but apparently not.

If they had used that evidence surely he would have been convicted as guilty. Why on earth didn't they use it. I can't think of any explanation for them not wanting to use that evidence besides them secretly at the last minute accepting a huge bribe.

Surely there must be an explanation for that. Holy crap.

Year old secretary and mother from east coast America. Quite boring, really. I'm constantly surrounded by religion and "holy rollers" and I'm starting to feel suffocated. So..I joined this group to have an outlet from that.. even if it is online, I NEEDED to be able to converse with some like-minded people as I have always felt like a spiritual outcast in my real life. Reading some of the things that have been posted, I'd really like to move to England. Things seem more liberal there concerning religion and God.

And on the Michael topic: I don't know. I have a son and am far from rich. If someone touched my boy, I would want justice, not money. I guess it could go either way. He could have been a perfect target or a perfect pervert!

How do you figure that? As long as there's no actual material evidence, like his DNA in a rape-kit, or at least some video/photos of the acts, or eye-witnesses - it's all fairly circumstantial. Famous rich people don't go to prison. Unless they f*ck with the taxman, I suppose...
