Melancholy

Melancholy
I keep feeling it and don't know why. If I'm busy or distracted I don't notice it but it seems like it is my normal state of being.

It baffles me as to why. I'm not depressed, just a feeling of melancholy. What causes this?

RE: Melancholy
I usually get bouts of melancholy when I think about memories and things from my youth and tweens which aren't there anymore or are long gone and I wish I could go back to or hold on to.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I often feel very sad for no reason and then I masturbate and it goes away.

I'm not trolling by the way. I'm completely serious. I get emotional when I haven't had recent sexual activity.

Lol squirrel. You have an addiction.

I get melancholic all the time. I miss people, places, feelings, scents, moments, years, my younger self, eras, pets, oh gawd... so many things. I keep thinking how none of it will ever return and I feel it. I especially get like that when I'm driving.

There could be a number of physiological causes beyond depression - thyroid, low testosterone, etc. Might want to have your doc check you out.

I actually have been and I'm healthy for my age. I think it's just how I am.

That's what money's for Kusa...
Go buy yourself some distractions...

I'd say it's a midlife crisis...

Maybe you are right. Perhaps a sports car would help.

Don't forget the sweet young thing, half your age. Oh, and drugs and booze. (Important to keep self-medicated.)
