RE: Atheist Forums' Biggest Loser
Maybe I should binge a bit now to put on a couple easy to shed pounds by April? j/k

Hey, here is some advice picked up in that class I took: eating the least amount possible isn't the best way to lose weight. Not only is it not healthy but it can actually make weight loss more difficult. Your metabolism can get thrown into starvation mode in which your body will cling to every calorie it can get. Instead, try to eat strategically. You need fat, protein as well as roughage and carbs (the more complex the better so avoid processed stuff as much as possible). Use an online calculator like the one available at myfitnesspal to figure out what you should be eating in order to lose 1 or 2 pounds a week (I always aim to lose 2/week), any more would not be optimal. So plan a diet which will give you the amounts of each category you need at regular intervals during the day. Experiment to see what time to eat to give you the most energy and satisfaction.

Oh, and make really delicious meals. You'll be eating less and buying less processed food anyhow. So splurge on fresh fruit and veggies and good cuts of meat (about a 1/4 pound per serving). And if you eat out, go with someone who will support you by sharing an entree.

It's not just your account. I think it makes sense to give us a few weeks. Plus, April is better for me to run something than this month.

RE: Atheist Forums' Biggest Loser
I plan to seriously stuff my face this weekend so this could be bad timing for the accountability to start.  I've basically just finished going to the gym every other day doing intense cardio.
I ran for an hour straight yesterday then went in today to just purely work on weights.  This weekend I plan to actually go out to not just one but two resteraunts for various social reasons.

I might pig out on one but go tame on the other and try to starve myself inbetween then get back to my usual routine next week.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Boru

I'm pretty big into eating anything, but that even sounds gross to me.

Okay how about a stonner?

The name "stonner" is derived from a combination of "sausage" and "donner", and is the Glaswegian slang word for an erection. The stonner kebab shot to fame because of its high calorie count of 1,000 calories, and 46 grams of fat.

Hey LP... you were wanting to gain some weight? Why not move to Glasgow and have this 7 times a day for breakfast, elevenses, lunch, starter, dinner, dessert and supper? Hopefully 7000 calories and 322 grams of fat a day will be enough weight gain?

...although I'm not sure if it's the kind of weight gain you're looking for....

It wouldn't be stupid for you to reward yourself though. Smile

The girl I was supposed to take out cancelled on me which I was actually relieved at because I was pretty tired.

Therefore no really bad food today.  I've had chickpeas and salmon followed by corn with chicken and 1 cerial bar.  No gym because today's a rest day.

I ate cupcakes, buffalo chicken dip, etc. All party food, all day. God, I'm squishy.

I bought a "Cinnamon&Raisin toasty loaf" - A moist and sweet-tasting cinnamon and raisin loaf...
It's almost like a cake... and it's already half gone!!

It's a good idea. Personally I'm a full time athlete, so I'm not sure I can actually exercise any more without risk of injury.

Drich.

Oh this is something else?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Maybe try a different type of training you've been wanting to do? Rise to a different challenge?
