Game #5

It was just a thought. Forget it. It just seems to me that this one has proven that it can almost be treated like a mafia game... in the sense of being designed and modded... I mean he's gone into a lot of thought to put Scrabble in there (and code it) so there's like endless opportunities for different types of games, some that appeal to some people and others that appeal to others. So that's all I was thinking really.

There's nothing wrong with that. And actually, if he wanted, he could run more than one game at a time - some wishing for a deeper challenge and others not so much.

Or... he could let us design some... as he does with Mafia Wink Then there'd be an infinite supply Wink And let's face it... this one was about as long as a mafia game... at least in pages... so it wouldn't be that much different Wink

That's a great idea. I think you should pitch that to him Wink

Nice dream but I don't think so... the difference here is that this requires programming and mafia doesn't... so the most a 'designer' could do was specify the rules put poor ol' Tibs would still have to program it to put it into action Wink

If people want to suggest an entire game by PM'ing me a set of rules, I'm happy to code it. I will tell you if a certain rule is too difficult to code.

Are you keeping Rule 0 for all subsequent games?

Hmmmm.

Agree with the folks that note not everyone plays Scrabble.

"Rule 0" is interesting. I'm not against it, but it is a rule. But it bumps up the rule count to 6. For whatever reason, I thought this game had 5 rules. No more, no less. I will say that I like the explanation regarding why only one rule was ever counted as broken in anyone's error message: the count just stops at the first broken rule. I never would have thought that, but it's a clever rule.

Challenge accepted Smile
