The day of reckoning has arrived.
RE: The day of reckoning has arrived.
Why do people still respond to Little Rik?

Because there are less entertaining threads on the forum?

Same sort of reason that people pick at a scab. It's irritating as all fuck, and hopefully it will go away quickly.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Wow if that's true that's really depressing.

A more prosaic reason could be that they're doing it for the sake of the people playing along at home; ie the random invisible lurkers and other similar visitors, some of whom might be tempted to sign up.

Hehe. I literally respond to everyone else on AF right now LOL.

To me responding to Little Rik is like the equivalent of chatting to Cleverbot.

Although that would certainly not be an appropriate name for LR. Well... not the "Clever" part anyways.

Four years on this forum, and I had enough playtime with Rik that there is no longer a point to engage him.

That sounds like the most godawful porn movie ever.

Some ideas are so stupid that they deserve to be disputed wherever they rear their ugly little heads.

The idea that NDEs and smarmy analogies prove ideas from Hindu mysticism is one of those.

Think of it as a challenge.

"Could Rik spout any worse crap and still consider himself better than everyone else?"

The answer is always a resounding "yes", but we keep coming back incase we miss something.

Personally, I rarely respond to Little (p)Rik, but sometimes I just have to.

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"
