Was that caused by reading books, talking to friends, listening to debates, watching videos ... or whatever else?
I'm pretty old and that process of gradually increasing skepticism started about 35 years ago, but reading books and journal articles mainly, and arguing about it with friends. When it comes to videos, Betamax was still a contender back then and the internet wasn't invented yet.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

For me, it's taken a few times to drop faith before coming back to the same conclusion about atheism. I'd say realizing finally that my beliefs have always been my own doing...my own imagination...my own wishful thinking...my own desire to be comforted by an outside force, etc is what has ultimately brought me back here. I don't think mentally, I ever left an atheist mindset, but emotionally, I felt paralyzed to give up my faith life. I hung onto it during my grandmother's illness and death, and that caused me to stay locked in it for longer than necessary. I don't regret any of this, even though it's been hard at times. I think that everyone is different, and how/why/when you come to your own conclusions about faith, or disbelief is a unique process for us all. The difference now is that I'm really feeling sorted out with all of this, emotionally.

Religion never seemed real to me, even when I was a kid. I went through the motions of trying to belong to a few groups, but in the end it never got beyond that. I finally asked myself if I was willing to testify under oath that any god was real, and the "no" I got back from myself was so vehement it flipped my worldview from agnostic polytheist to agnostic atheist in literally seconds.
On the other hand, I've adored magic since I was an even younger kid and occasionally wonder if I can use science to make it work For Realz.

It's a timeless topic
If Iggy gives you grief smack him on the nose with a rolled up newspaper and say "no".
Or smack him with a brick.
