I"ll shut up when you stop proposing laws to favor your fairy tale.
Sounds like the boogeyman to me. Do you have any recent examples of laws that favor religion?

Pick any state that has passed or proposed a Religious Freedom Act. It's really not about favoring religion, though. They only favor christianity.
I'm playing along, as I can't believe you're so deep in your bubble that you don't know of these things.

Twenty six bishops in the UK House of Lords? These uneducated old fools have a vote on education policy, science funding, gay rights issues and woman's issues. They are an anachronism and should done away with. I recommend pentobarbital.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Even if these dickhead trolls are just fucking around about being that stupid, it's not goddamn funny. This is deadly fucking serious so even being fair-weather about it is unacceptable. Either nut up and support these fanatics' efforts to instill religious dominion or condemn them for the criminals they are and stand against them, there's no fucking middle ground.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
---
There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

I could be wrong about this, but aren't there laws protecting the use of the burka in situations where covering your face would otherwise not be allowed?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I couldn't say. But here in the US, exercising that right could be dangerous.

Posting on an atheist forum has no effect on proposed laws.

Are you saying that Christians should only be allowed to practice their religion in private? You do realize that the freedom of conscience and the free exercise of religion is a protected human right subject only to a compelling state interest, which is a very high standard. Or have you stopped believing in human rights? Or maybe you think some human rights are more equal than others.

You claimed the law only favors Christianity.

Not just Islam either. Native American' are exempt from certain drug prohibitions. Conscientious objectors do not have to serve militarily, regardless of faith or lack thereof. Sacramental wine was exempt during prohibition. Obscenity laws are not specific to any religious traditions. Anything he can imagine would apply equally to orthodox Jews. For some reason I think this has to do with wedding cakes.
