As a rock guitarist, King Crimson. It just leaves me high-and-dry, lotsa playing, little emotion.
As a writer, William Faulkner. Yes, I know he's great, but he just doesn't move me.
Outside those fields, I don't worry myself much about expectations.

Ah I thought of 4 more: Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr and Discord.
ETA: OH WOW ALEX! TOTALLY THE BIGGEST ONE FOR ME: Watching TV. Feelings
Haven't had a TV hooked up since I moved out of my parents' in 2000. TV get dumber every time I take a peek. Good riddance.
I got rid of television ten years ago. It was a great move, and who cares if I'm supposed to like it? Were Marx alive today, TV would be the opiate he railed against.

Hellloooooo, Jerry!
How the hell can you not like Seinfeld?

Working and socializing. I wish more than anything that I could like those things. Especially now.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Ugh, I hate Seinfeld. Never laughed at any of his "humor".
I don't like taking selfies or shopping at Walmart.

Dress pants without pleats.
- don't know why, but I hate them. I actually hired one engineer over another simply because the one guy didn't have pleats. Repetitively equal all around. It was their choice in fashion for as stupid as that sounds.
Abstract art
- I appreciate art and won several awards for my drawings growing up. I'll post some photos if I figure out how to do it on this forum, but I never understood truly abstract art. Any four year old can kick buckets of paint into a wall and smile at it. I just can't get into it.

Why is it that you don't like those things now?

It took me a long time to appreciate it. I couldn't do so until I figured out for myself how to simply appreciate how color and composition work. And there are some (I'm looking at you, Chagall) who I still think are full of shit and themselves. But Kandinsky on his best days, that guy put colors together that really tickled my brain. I still prefer Impressionism as my favorite school, but I can appreciate outside approaches. Mind you, I love playing and listening to jazz, so there's that.

Was that the one where they cast Cumberbatch as Khan?
No, that was the second to last one, "Into Darkness". I rather liked that one. It had a good plot, and I love Benedict Cumberbatch. The last one was "Star Trek Beyond".

Good for you. As an English bloke I suppose that I'm supposed to like soccer too.
I don't. It's boring as fuck.
Repeated 1-0 scores at the end of games, repeated people accidentally-on-purpose-falling-over to cause the opposing team a red card, and repeated dribbling back and forth with the ball to waste time so they can keep their 1-0 lead, is not my idea of an entertaining sport.

Religion - obviously!
Children - especially babies. That's my biggest clue that my brain is wired very differently than the brains of most people. If everyone suddenly became like me, the human race would die in a generation. The thought of raising a child is so horrifying to me, I would have done absolutely anything to avoid it. Fortunately, it never came to that.
Fashion. There is little I care less about. I am always incredulous when I buy a new pair of shoes (because the old ones wore out) and everybody notices. I couldn't tell you the tiniest detail about anyone else's shoes to save my life. Not my coworkers - not even my wife! Why in the world would anyone store enough information in their brain concerning my shoes to notice when I get new ones? I don't get it.

Same.
And Friends.
And Fraiser.
And any other inoffensive and tame sitcom.
Although, The Big Bang Theory is definitely watchable most of the time. Although, IMO, that's ENTIRELY because of Sheldon Cooper! He's an awesome character (and although I dislike Friends, Joey is okay (Ross is annoying and whiny as fuck and ruins the series altogether by himself alone for me (he's so annoying and whiny, that liking evolution and dinosaurs is not remotely enough to make up for it). A bit like Sheldon makes BBT. Ross is the anti-Sheldon ).
