It's not filtered at all, except by what occurrs naturally in the watershed, it's historically been a very high quality water source.

I would imagine then that there's no health risk of note.

That's Beacon Rock, on the Washington side of the gorge. There's actually a trail that switchbacks all the way to the top.

I really did do a painting last night though. I'd post it but my iPad doesn't want to copy the bbcode from Flickr so I can share it here.

Not the greatest but at least you can see a waterfall, a bridge, some trees.... If you squint and tilt your head to the left you can see the lodge, too!

I think that's a lovely painting.
