Psalm 137:9
RE: Psalm 137:9
Quote:I'm not sure why you think that invoking a planet, "WASP-121b, which is 880 light-years away from us . . . a hot Jupiter-like planet. . . [but with] a greater mass and radius than Jupiter . . .  [and an] atmosphere [that] is heated to 2,500 degrees Celsius -- so hot that iron can exist only as a gas, instead of a solid" in any way helps your case. If you want to overturn the results of earth science as we know it, you'll need to do a hell of a lot better than that.

No, you don't understand the apologist mindset.  Best explained here.

Quote:Bible-believers are full of clever (and some not so clever) rationalizations. The crucial question, however, is not whether “answers” can be generated in response to Bible difficulties but whether credible answers can be produced. What is the best explanation? Bible-believers seem to think that any loophole, however improbable, that gets the Bible off the hook has solved the problem. Thus, it is not surprising that different, conflicting answers are often presented side by side. It never seems to occur to these people that such logic will also support the story of Goldilocks and the three bears! Or the Koran. Or, anything else. Once we abandon the probable in favor of the improbable—or even the less probable—we have abandoned objectivity.

E. Babinsky

That's Huggy.  Next he'll be claiming that the universe is "perfectly fine-tuned" for human life and ignore any attempts to shove WASP-121b up his ass!

What have I stated that you believe is improbable?

Funny, If we want to talk about debasement, you atheist have that one on lock.

You need to go back in debasement and leave adult things to adults.

Nothing you have stated is plausible enough to figure any probabilities.

 How about being specific?

Look, we can go down the whole list, just pick one thing I've said that you believe is improbable and I'll address it.

It obviously cant be everything.

Fact: Planets do exist that have a layer of water in their atmosphere

Fact: exposure to the suns radiation is detrimental to our physiology.

Still gonna claim everything I've said is improbable?

Yep.  I won't waste time trying to change the proudly ignorant.

We've gone from "earth had a sky ocean" to "different planets are different, and the sun burns".

There are planets that have a layer of liquid water in their atmosphere.

There's no credible evidence that suggests that this planet had such a layer.

Of course, there's no credible evidence for your god, but baby steps.
