FIFA World Cup 2018
December 1, 2017 at 4:24 pm
America has its NFL and Europe has its soccer.... so it's time for the World Cup 2018 ...so we have to prepare for it
The 2018 World Cup draw took place today at the Kremlin in Moscow....
The draw is done and the field is set:
Group A: Russia, Uruguay, Egypt, Saudi Arabia
Group B: Portugal, Spain, Iran, Morocco
Group C: France, Peru, Denmark, Australia
Group D: Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria
Group E: Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia
Group F: Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea
Group G: Belgium, England, Tunisia, Panama
Group H: Poland, Colombia, Senegal, Japan
First match will be played on 14 June 2018.... so we have half a year but why can't we start talk about it now...
What do you think about the draw?
Which group seems to be a death group for you?
Does your country play in this World Cup?
Is there any soccer fan here?
I'm a big soccer fan! My team is in group H, that's Poland! And though i doubt that they'll win the World Cup, I'll cheer them anyway...
A group of death ... ha! For me, this is a group D...Argentina, Croatia and the great surprise of recent months, Iceland! Very interesting group...
But before the World Cup starts, we'll have some friendly matches....so it will be a good opportunity to talk..

I'm in America. For men's club soccer, I follow Seattle Sounders FC in MLS. But, alas, the USMNT is not a part of this, just like back in '86. There's so much soccer in the USA that I don't have time nor inclination to follow much else, but the WC is the WC. I have ancestors who are German, Swiss, and Swedish, so I'll be curious about them, as well as any matches in St. Petersburg, where my grandmother got to go in the 1990's. That and Moscow seem like lovely cities.
I live near the Mexican border (well, municipally speaking, right on it), so I'd like to see MEX advance, but by other accounts, they have it really tough.

I think you are right, group D, Nigeria could be a surprise package.
Poland should Top that group on paper, but as we know in football anything can happen.
Looking forward to it so much
