Sorry to see this about your back. I have a fair amount of trouble from when I used to pick short block engines off the ground and put them into the back of a truck, solo. A small block Chevy short block is 325 pounds, dry. My back would remind me of what I shouldn't do, for a few days. Now, it's constant.
 
Is that hydraulic fluid or battery acid running out of that fork truck?

Lifting those short blocks is no easy task. That's some heavy shit. I did Roofing for 42 years plus about a dozen years of warehouse work into that mix. I'm 63 now and the years of heavy work has slowly taken its toll.

I believe that's battery acid.

He was a new guy, a temp actually. It's a revolving door where I work. A lot of our experienced people are long gone and our facility keeps replacing workers every few weeks. We've had a spike in equipment accidents lately where one guy a few weeks ago almost lost his foot, another inexperienced temp who had no business being on a lift. You'd be surprised at how easy those lifts can tip like that. They're top heavy, have a zero turn radius, very squirrelly, and easy to lose control when you least expect it, and can suddenly lurch if the operator isn't paying attention. Even as heavy as that piece of equipment is one small chunk of wood in the floor can actually tip it over. Looks like the guy was in a tight area, had the wheel turned too far one way, was backing out of a put away, gave it too much throttle and lost control.
