Evidently, this all began in 2014 and picked up steam in the 2016 presidential election. The Russian operatives posed as Americans and it is not alleged that anyone from the campaigns knew that they were dealing with Russians. The operatives also staged a rally in New York supporting president elect Trump while at the same time they staged another rally, in New York, and on the same day, opposing President Trump in an effort to sow discord and to undermine the president elect. It was also reported that they were supporting candidate Bernie Sanders' campaign as well. Rosenstein also said that it was not alleged that the Russians affected the outcome of the presidential election.

Mueller's indictment uses the term "unwitting Americans."  That might be the best description yet for WLB voters!

They supported Bernie Sanders campaign as well.... I always figured it was more about payback for Bill Clinton's interfering in the 1996 Russian election than anything else.

This won't go over well in the Kremlin. I wonder who'll be the first to die by, say, polonium tea or a poison-tipped umbrella.

Maybe this is because Bernie was a weaker candidate for the general election, therefore Trump would more easily be able to beat him and Bernie would be preferred by such saboteurs? Tough to know where the conspiracy begins with the incomplete information at this point.

I hope Mueller keeps up the good work! Interesting to see where this goes.

That's a good guess but Russia has also been interfering in elections of other countries too.

Speaking of Bill Clinton, he also interfered in Israel's elections to undermine Netanyahu back in the day
