In summary, women who douche are more likely to have rotten vaginas than women who don’t. I’m sorry that the public education system has failed you so.
I agree with no douching. However, some gyns are now starting to say not to wash it, either. THAT I think is disgusting. I don't douche, but you better believe I thoroughly clean myself with plenty of soap every day.
It's the soap part that is the potential problem. Between your labia minora you have epidural skin. It is allergic to soap.

Yeah that's what they say, but I've scrubbed with soap every day my whole life, and never had a problem. Never had a UTI or yeast infection either. The thought of not washing down there at all is super nasty to me and I'm not sure how anyone does it lol. In my family we wash it up!

What?! I had not heard that! What kind of a world are we living in that washing with soap and water is now against medical advice?! Naaasty!
I know, right? This is the new thing apparently. Let's not wash the grittiest, potentially smelliest, part of our bodies! Which also happens to be the part that our husbands touch and taste! Gross.
^I guess second grittiest/smelliest part of our bodies. Second only to the butt hole.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Interestingly, I'm not very fond of the just washed soapy flavor... But am fully in favor of washing it at least once a day.

I wonder if the germophobe in me is turned on by that?

Anyone made the connection between the title and vaginas, besides me?

I just use the soap that says it’s made specifically for washing genitals. I’ve never had an allergic reaction to soap.
I never imagined this would be an educational thread about feminine hygiene.

Oh, just for fun I’ll add a pro tip.
If you ever find yourself in a shower with only head and shoulders available, it’s best to skip your vag. That minty fresh tingle feels like fire down there!
