I once went to stand on a cockroach and it ran under the fridge.
My big toenail caught on the bottom of the fridge and broke facing at a ninety degree angle. The doctor still had to use pliers to twist it off. It was so painful that no sound escaped my lips when I screamed. Another time I worked in apple fields in the pouring rain for a week. It didn't hurt, but half of my toenails just fell out from being waterlogged. |
