It appears that Harry Potter is ruining a lot of people.
Bewitched taught me all I'll ever need to know.

Leave them be for the most part, from what I've seen they are mostly harmless people who believe in spells. You may as well just call them Harry Potter fanatics, if that floats your boat go right ahead. Just practice your hobby in your own community of fellow Harry Potter fans, as long as you follow that rule your good my book.

There are, if it;s mostly spell and ritual that interests you...systems based on judeo-christian mythology. You might be able to find what you;re looking for in-house, as it were.

Although, while I believe in God, I don’t really cling to any one religion.

This is a fact, whether, you admit or not.
A lot of it is channeling one’s one intentions. Purging your own negative thoughts and energies and seeking change. It’s not that different than prayer, except for many Wiccans, they might not be seeking help from a higher power. But some of the spells I’ve read specifically talk about deities, etc.

Neither do wiccans. Wicca is a jumbled mess of traditions pasted together. Deities, in wicca, are commonly conceived of as a focal point and they are interchangeable with each other and any other sufficient object. Like I said, not gods in the way that you;re probably thinking. More like manifestations of a larger divinity - all of nature, each one an aspect of some piece of the whole.
Just as you are.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I've been reading about it, and not interested in following it but, it could be one of those ''religions'' that I have misunderstood in my mind. I like the spells.
Do you know any Wiccans? I had a friend a few years ago who followed it, but we drifted apart. She was pretty grounded in her life, she wasn't stirring boiling cauldrons with eyes of newts, or anything. I've always been interested in learning about others' beliefs.
I once cast a love spell on my a woman I know.
She cast back a counterspell called "restraining order"
BTW, not really.

lol Love spells. I can't imagine casting one, I think people should fall in love freely. How could anyone feel good about being with someone who was merely under their ''spell?"

Np, probably ought to add Drawing Down The Moon to the book list. It;s more focused on contemporary paganism in the united states. Margot Adler was an interesting character.

I've contracted Epic Woo-Woo a couple of times over the years.
In outbreak #1 in the late '70s /early '80s, I had a massive library of occult books. Using primarily Golden Dawn tomes, I painstakingly created a talisman to ensure good seeing for the February 26, 1979 total solar eclipse. The skies were awesomely clear at totality -- but we subsequently got six weeks of cloudy, drizzly weather.
In outbreak #2 in 1999, I passed survived (no, surviving the Test definitely counts as a pass) my Test and became a fer-realz Krynnish White Robe. I also got interested in Norse mythology and got in touch with my inner Norse Goddess, and learned how to read Futhark runes. I then proceeded to craft a magic ring that is +5 to reveal the truth about darn well anything. Although I now identify as a Red Robe (with Lunitari's blessing), I still have the ring. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
