Do you weigh the same as a duck, Deidre?

You know nothing, Jon Snow. >_>

In seriousness, how can anyone know everything when it comes to a subjective topic like spirituality? You seem to think you do.

Who said anything about everything Ms All or Nothing?  Wink

I do know that sufi and shia are both wrong, regardless of the mountain of things I don;t know.

I'd caution you against describing spirituality as subjective. It;s difficult to defend a perceived truth by implying that there is no truth to be had in the subject.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

There is plenty of proofs for leadership of his chosen ones, in the Torah, Gospels, and Quran, provide clear insights into that.

The spiritual and intellectual isolation that indoctrination produces is why it;s no great feat to know more about spirituality than a true believer™.  It;s not even uncommon for a non-believer to know more about a true believers faith, specifically, than the believers themselves..because one of the requirements of that faith is often the denial of any uncomfortable reality of the faith.

It;s one of the benefits of not having a shaman in a funny dress telling you what books you can and cant read, what is or isn;t "sinful"....or scaring the shit out of you with stories about genies waiting in every hidey hole.

Ah, I’m not trying to defend it. I’m just sharing some of my beliefs, but not trying to convince you of them. And your guess that there is nothing higher than us, is the same as my choice to have faith. Subjective.

More projections of what you imagine about me than anything I think..and..again, calling something subjective is the worst track to take. Don;t you think that a more measured and accurate approach would be to say that all expressions of spirituality refer to some objective fact of humanity...regardless of whether or not they refer to the fact they purport to report?

The sense of the numinous is real. It undergirds all faith..but it isn;t limited to faith. In any case, my opinion of islam isn;t a guess or subjective in any way. Their magic book is based upon demonstrable falsehood at least three layers down, lol. A particularly hilarious game of telephone tag with a fundamental miscommunication at its root.

All you do is project lol You think you know me better than me.

I’m sharing some beliefs and opinions. You think your opinion is fact. That’s your problem and not anyone else’s. I never present my opinions as facts.

It;s entirely likely that I do.  A few pages back I was helpful, remember, lol.  The irony of my being an anti-theist but having devoted years (decades..now, I guess) and lots of money to the pursuit of this particular type of knowledge isn;t lost on me..but there it is, lol.

That;s nice, but I wasn;t commenting on any belief of yours..unless you;re shia or sufi.  You;ve cultivated an irreligious but spiritual identity.  I;d say you were on the right track with that.  I think exposure to neopaganism will probably help even more.  Thats why I keep suggesting the religion over the spells and ritual.

I;m not going to infantalize you by couching my words or calling things I know opinion just because you have a predictable reaction to those bits.  I told you that magic spells werent real..for example..because they aren;t.  You'll learn that yourself sooner or later, but I see no reason to hide that fact of the matter from you.  Would you prefer that I treated you like a child, and reassured your beliefs in santa or the easter bunny?

I just wish to have a mutually respectful dialogue, that's all. This isn't a debate. MK is debating, lol But, I'm not debating.
