You know, any other day I'd go head to head with ya and predict 4 - 1 in favor of Belgium.
But looking at our line-up, I think Belgium's gunning for second place, in order to give some R&R to the star players and to come out against a weaker player in the next match.

Something that has me really pissed off. In the world championship, you should try to win every match and give every match your all.
And who knows, next match we might get played home by Switzerland or something... We wouldn't have had a worthwhile match during the entire run.
Belgium v England could be an assuredly exciting match. Because you guys are good, but you are far from invincible. And had both line-ups been prime; it would have been a thrilling match. One in which I would think we could definitely win, but it would be hard earned.
Tonight... I don't know. I don't see it. Going in with low expectations.

I've slowed down the pace recently ... but I try to watch matches as far as I can.
Yesterday's match Germany- Korea (0-2) ... was a revelation and although I'm not a supporter of Korean football, but I was glad that the world champions got knocked down because they really are playing badly lately... Big Grin
In addition, the match Costa Rica - Switzerland (2-2) was also interesting ....very well Costa Rica!!
And today my eagles from Poland will play with Japan haha... something fun

@Obvious yeah I agree. I don’t get the logic in ‘resting’ players or going into a match without trying to win. Just seems daft. I look at it as though you have to beat the best teams if you’re going to win the cup anyway so just play your best team. Keeping momentum is more important than resting players, they should all be pretty damn fit anyway.

As for the game, it could honestly go either way. Just hoping Kane scores another couple and gets a few extra steps toward the golden boot. As for our defence, I actually think we look really solid with the 5/3 at the back, certainly better defensively than in the past.

I don’t get why you guys are playing De Bruyne so deep, seems like he’s totally wasted back there.

One last thing, we’re absolutely lethal so far when it comes to set plays. In tournament football that’s a big plus.

Can't remember a victory quite so empty.

Absolutely shite match. Treated it like a training match, neither team played any of their best players. We clearly weren’t bothered with the loss.

Here's to hoping our teams meet again in the quarters and can do this again, but properly this time.
