It's not smart enough to go after her by name, but it will probably single her out if you tell it to get the grey elf. You hear it leave the bar, and there's more screaming on the street.

Yes.

Stanis is up! You think you're standing next to Noth, if you still want to attack an unconscious orc. By your best estimate, you'll probably be blind another ten to twenty seconds, unless Amylda is significantly more powerful than you.

CURSES! Is there anyone in here who could dispel my Glitterdust induced blindness? I'd pay you!

As Stanis is having difficulty remembering why he & his companions are in this ridiculousness, he will simply set himself in a somewhat defensive stance, and wait for the effect to wear off.

OOC: There aren't any 5th+ level wizards around within earshot. The blindness will last two more rounds. Rather than spend most of a week IRL-time sorting through the actions of blind characters, I'll assume the four of you rally outside the tavern to see what you can find. That being said...

The four of you are outside the tavern, and moments later, your vision returns. You look around for signs of Amylda and Cathi, and nothing is immediately apparent. The owlbear skeleton is standing about 15 feet from the door, looking around, seemingly unable to comply with the command to get someone it cannot find. There's a modest crowd of people all gawking no less than a hundred feet from the large, clawed skeleton. Looking back, there are a few people in the tavern, still. Two of them are looking at Noth and Darykis. The one over Noth is shaking his head.

From where you are, the tavern is in the middle of the block, so the road runs to the left and right. There are also some alleys between buildings. Without looking for clues or asking people, you don't know where the two women have gone. The skeleton is going to disappear in six seconds, as its summoning duration is about to run out.

Figure it's been a mere 30 seconds since the fight broke out (each round is six seconds). There isn't a sign of the guards yet. How are you proceeding?

Erus sneers as he looks up and down the roads. "Useless!"he snaps his fingers dismissing the owlbear. "A platinum piece to any one with information leading to the capture of the elf Amylda and Cut throat Cathi!"
He eclamies to the crowd then turning to his party"Ass end of a dire boar! I hate loose ends! "

Someone steps up pretty quickly.

"Are you talking about those two women who ran away? One just popped up out of nowhere in the street, and the other came running out the tavern. They went down that alley."

A couple other people are nodding.

"If they are where you say you will be rewarded." He says to the commoners "Let us make haste! They made powerful enemies today."

I flick my cap and run off in the direction that they pointed.

You go down the alley. It's only about a two-foot wide space between the tavern and the adjacent building. It leads to a wider alley that runs parallel with the main streets, behind the backs of all the buildings on this block.

You look each way and don't see any sign of them, directly. There are other narrow alleys leading off of this, back onto the tavern's street, or to the street on the other side of the block. There are some random things tossed back here, most of it trash or crates. It could afford some hiding places, but your gut tells you they would have likely ran rather than sticking along so close to the tavern. Some of the crates could be climbed to get to the roofs.

You get the feeling they're less than 30 seconds ahead of you, whichever way they went.
