There's going to be a cloud of drones over cities anyway for commercial reasons, pretty soon. It'll be like CCTV cameras for ATMs and stores, if three's a crime, part of the investigation will be to obtain and review drone footage.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I wouldn't oppose anything like that for reasons of privacy, it might be excessive for a city though. You're already on camera near enough everywhere you go in a city plus there's dash cams in a lot of cars.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

We need oversight of all agencies with this kind of power - and we don't have it. So for the present time, count me as opposed.
I have to second this notion. The whole idea that "you should only be worried if you're doing something wrong" is exactly the type of idea that an oppressive government would want you to hold.
Privacy is slowly but surely going away, I don't think we need to add more to the mix.

In the past, there was more expectation of privacy than there is now. And that very small bubble is getting smaller.
That doesn't mean we should happily invite new methods of government surveillance.

And in the past people thought they had privacy in public places. They thought other stupid things as well.

Really? Anybody can observe you in a public place. Go to Times Square on New Year's Eve and count the number of people who see you there.

So in your mind the addition of tens of millions of security cameras doesn't reduce privacy?
You're still in a public place, sure. But a camera recording your every move when you park your car in an empty lot is different than parking your car in an empty lot with no one looking or a camera recording you.

You dodged my point. There are a lot more people than there are cameras. You have zero privacy in public. Drones didn't change that.
