Dogs
Size matters, and sorry, I do get pissed at owners who own big dogs like rots and pitts and shepherds.

IT IS NOT impossible to train a powerful dog to know their limits and not attack. YES that is possible. But I don't think enough people who have them as pets understand that they are still powerful, like lions or tigers and even if the dog is attacking out of a sense of protecting their owner, it isn't the dog's fault, anymore than when Roy's tiger tried to pick him up like a cat carrying a kitten and almost killed him.

I do get fucking sick of dog owners who like parents with kids, always blindly protect their kid, and ignore the  bad the kid does, EVEN IF the kid doesn't mean to.

If you own a dog, KEEP IT IN YOUR HOUSE WHEN NOT WALKING IT, keep it in a fenced in yard or electronic yard. Your dog is not the neighborhood police. If you are letting  your rot or pitt or doberman or sheppard roam free, then YOU ARE A FUCKING DICK. It wont be the dog's fault, but yours, if someone has to defend themselves, or when they call animal control because they don't know what they are dealing with.

It is even true with domestic house cats. If say you are elderly, and die in your house, and you are dead, your cat will very likely resort to eating parts of you. Not because they want to, but because they are desperate. The same has been observed with lions and tigers in preserves that run out of money. The animals get to the point where they attack their caretakers because they are not being fed.

My point is, if you own a big powerful dog, with a powerful body, and powerful jaws, DONT FUCKING ASSUME because it is friendly to you, and because you feed it, and it obeys you, that that means it always will. And especially don't let it roam around. It could be as nice as Barney or Ghandi, but don't stupidly assume because you know your pet, the entire world does.

Eeven Police stations , with big dogs such as German Shepherds will tell the public not to approach the dog when they are on the job.

Agreed. I prefer a dog I can pet without fear of breaking it.

Who is talking about me? I am talking about life in general.

No I have not been attacked, but I have run into tons of irresponsible dog owners who own big dogs who like assholes who like to speed in muscle cars and parents who think their kids always shit ice cream and sprinkles are self entitled owners.

Roy trained tigers for his Vegas show. And even he did not blame the tiger for injuring him. But he damned sure never would have treated any of those tigers like latchkey kids.

DOGS like driving a car, ARE A RESPONSIBILITY.  You don't let them roam around just like you don't drive on the wrong side of the street. If one is going to own a dog with body power and jaw power, and many breeds have that, then the owner should treat that pet as if it were a lion, tiger or great white, no matter how friendly they think it is. The animal does not know any  better and nobody should blame the animal, but the owner IS responsible, even if the pet didn't mean it.

Sorry, it’s just you seemed so passionate I thought you might have been bitten recently. I’m glad that’s not the case.

Jeez someone likes to rant
Not entirely incorrect points, but what effect, exactly, is posting these thoughts here going to have? Genuinely curious.

I am a cat fan. But, if I were ever to own a dog again, it would be as microscopic as a Dachshund or Chihuahua. Big dogs are great for testosterone movies, but suck in reality when they think they are doing the right thing defending their owners, but are not human, and cant understand the needles and stupid positions their owners put them in.
