Fair enough. If you take all the money you’re going to save on vaccines, you could invest it carefully, and eventually save enough to buy some child-sized coffins.

What is painful is that Polio was months away from total eradication, but in 3 backwards countries rumours went around that the vaccine was a western conspiracy. Vaccination reduced and now its coming back.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polio_vaccine

Quote:Polio vaccination programs have received resistance from some people in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Nigeria (the three countries as of 2017 with remaining polio cases). Some Muslim religious leaders believe that the vaccines are secretly being used for sterilization of Muslims.[47] The fact that the CIA organized a fake vaccination program in 2011 to help find Osama Bin Laden is an additional cause of distrust.[90] In 2015, the WHO announced a deal with the Taliban to encourage them to distribute the vaccine in areas they control.[91] However, the Pakistani Taliban is not so supportive. On 11 September 2016, two unidentified gunmen associated with the Pakistani Taliban, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, shot Zakaullah Khan, a doctor who was administering polio vaccines in Pakistan. The leader of the Jamaat-ul-Ahrar claimed responsibility for the shooting and says that the group will continue to keep doing these kinds of attacks. This resistance to and skepticism of vaccinations has consequently slowed down the polio eradication process within the three remaining countries.

The funnier part is that here in Portugal vaccines are free. You just have to take your kid to their routine checkups and they will administer those in the national vaccination plan. Some are optional like bacterial meningitis (rare) and rotavirus (gastroenteritis, not really directly deadly but can cause dihidration). I opted in on both and payed. Funny thing, my daughter got rotavirus with mold symptoms, while I that was never vaxxed back in the day, got in a world of pain. Ya know when you have diarhea and want to puke at the same time? Wich side to turn to the toilet.

Well, Agnostico is from Portuguese ascent, that brought up a spoiled brat in Australia so it seems. I know he can never find a job here, nor his kids could go to school whithout the National vaxx plan being fully updated.

It is acceptable to clean vomit from the carpet...

Good advice. I once vommed on a bath mat. Wound up burning it. Couldn’t face cleaning it.

For those who doubt, have a bacterial test done on that rug.

I don't mean you can't put a towel down, but only as long as you need to stop dripping. Then in the hamper or down the chute.

What rug? I just told you I burnt it.

And we have NO carpet in our house. That has done wonders in clearing allergies and asthma around here.
