Devolution
RE: Devolution
My whole point was that brains are of varying levels of complexity right now. There is a visible gradient ergo it is easy, for me at least, to extrapolate back to a time when things were much simpler and, over time, complexity increased.

The thrust of our mad friend seems to be look at the complexity, it is obviously designed, ergo god exists.

So, parts (countless atoms combing to form countless molecules, constructed to form many different types of uncountable cells- each for specific purposes) themselves assembled for specific purposes- all by blind chance?

Yes , it IS proof God exists; deny it all you want.

Blind chance? kind of, not really though. There are physical laws that dictate possible interactions and through a stochastic process minerals assembled into replicators and that is the mechanism that led to the complexity of life all around you. It is only as random as the formation of a puddle within a hole. The puddle is defined by the hole.

Of course they simply then move the post back and insist physical laws are also designed and ete etc etc

It's all fallacious

I see you still do not understand that chemistry is not random, abiogenesis is not random and evolution is not random.

If I stapled a toilet poaper roll to a rubber duck one of my kids would find a purpose for it. It's not at all surprising that the products of chemistry, organic and inorganic, are found to have some use.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

But if evolution were truly a random process, as the nutters would have us believe, ducks would come equipped with steel carburetors and you could pick hamburgers off a pine tree.
