We're not discussing the same thing.  All that needs be true for the statement "I reject x" to be true, is for you to reject x.  You're making an assertion about yourself.  Your position, attitude, or opinion of x.  We generally don't even question the truth of those sorts of statements unless we have some reason.

The people who write those scripts know better, having been in the same situation themselves before. They still send these poor idiots out into the wild to fail.
